What is your favorite Islander Food?: Anything with coconut milk! Kåddon uhang, månha titiyas, and gollai hågun suni are some of my favorites.
What is your most meaningful memory with someone who is a member of the QT/PI community or with your culture?:
This past summer, I was incredibly fortunate to be able to go to Guam and visit family I have not seen in a very long time. I was there in June and was able to go to several Pride events on island including their Pride forum which showcased QTPI voices and experiences. Seeing the panelists openly embrace their culture and queerness was very impactful for me and is an experience I want the next generation of QTPI to also be able to experience!
What are you most excited to do or achieve during your time at UTOPIA PDX?
I am very excited about being in more QTPI spaces and building community! My goal is to help strengthen our community and provide spaces that allow QTPI to feel seen and supported. I aim to broaden my understanding of our community's needs and participate in initiatives that directly address them.
