What is your favorite Islander Food?
That's a tough question because I love to eat if I had to narrow it down I would say seafood!
What is your most meaningful memory with someone who is a member of the QT/PI community or with your culture?
The moment I came out held a mix of humor and deep sentiment, everyone already knew except my sister (Tiana), she thought I was the manliest guy in the world and to her, I still am lol. However, it's the words of my Dad & Sister, Michelle, that resonate in my memory. When coming out my Dad said "Son, we always knew you were a lovable child, & my sister said, "We know we were just waiting for you". It was more than acceptance; it was an affirmation of love, a recognition that transcends labels. My heart is grateful to my Ohana, Thanks family for embracing me with open arms and an open heart.
What are you most excited to do or achieve during your time at UTOPIA PDX?
Working alongside individuals who look like me isn't merely an alignment of faces; it's a celebration of shared experiences, a recognition that our collective diversity drives us forward and to be apart of this moment excites me.
