About Stephanie Tolentino:

Stephanie Tolentino is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker on the UTOPIA team as the Program Manager for the Oceania Healings program. Their pronouns are they/them. Stephanie is a genderqueer, queer, trans-masc nonbinary person who grew up in Dallas, TX, and lived in Honolulu, HI for over 12 years. They have been in Oregon since 2016. They have worked with several different populations including substance use, houseless individuals and families, domestic violence, and hospice. Stephanie currently has a small private practice therapy business. They have a passion for working with QTBIPOC folks and are looking forward to using their social work background to help grow and develop the Oceania Healings program.

What is your favorite Islander Food?

Lau lau and squid luau.

What is your most meaningful memory with someone who is a member of the QT/PI community or with your culture? 

Working together with and getting to know Kumu Hina while serving as a volunteer for the Honolulu Rainbow Film Festival.

What are you most excited to do or achieve during your time at UTOPIA PDX? 

Reducing the stigma of seeking mental health support and providing a safe space for the QT/PI community through education and community time.
